​As a wife, mother, “Nina” to five rambunctious littles, and Zumba Gold instructor my life is pretty full these days!



I officially “retired” in 2020 to care for my ailing dad, and after he passed away in 2021 it was decided that I would not be returning to the workforce.



Not wanting to fully relinquish my “working” status, I knew I needed to explore my options. (I’ve heard so many stories about people retiring and finding themselves with nothing to do.  I knew I wasn’t ready to face that possibility!)  I decided to embrace the situation with open arms and explore the endless opportunities! 



We purchased a laser engraver for my husband’s business in 2019, and it felt like the perfect opportunity for me to expand my horizons and learn a new skill.  Having spent nearly 25 years doing computer-related work, learning new software, dabbling a bit in website design, and fully immersing myself in Excel, I set out to learn the laser software, and immediately fell in love with the limitless options.  Upon mastering the software the next logical step was to learn all I needed to know to efficiently operate the machine itself.



And that is how Custom Creations by Tresa was born.  



I started out small, with my items in a single store in Howell.  Soon after that I added a store in Frankenmuth, and then another in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.



With the addition of MI Unique Art I’ve once again expanded my footprint, and now have my designs in four different stores.  I’ve also now delved into the exciting world of 3D printing, so one never knows what I might come up with next.  

I’m excited to see what the next chapter of “retirement” has in store for me!
